Before I say anything, Olivia Hayle did her thing with this book. I applaud her for the literacy bliss she gave me, and the story was sweet as pie.
But it was a little too sweet for me. And I have to watch my sugars because I’m currently prediabetic. Overall, it was a good story however, I wasn’t expecting to love and hate it at the same time.
Without further blabber, let’s get into the facts.

First Impressions
My first impressions of this book had me like, “Okay, I’m loving the buildup of these characters!” I loved how Summer was so optimistic in life. She’s the girl who had the perfect upbringing, while Anthony, the billionaire had somewhat of the opposite.
Anthony had this nonchalant attitude the entire book, but he had he reasons. But I loved how he found himself softening up when around Summer. She seemed to bring out the best in him, one he didn’t know he had in himself.
I liked how he is like, “Don’t worry about it, I got you” type vibes with Summer, and she was so modest and humbled, she didn’t know how to take it initially. It was the grand gestures for me that had me loving Anthony.
Spice Level?
Was there spice in this book? Because I didn’t realize it until more than halfway in the book. Ok, maybe I’m over exagerrating, but the spice level is a 1 out of 5.
They eventually get there but it doesn’t knock my socks off. It’s good, clean, and safe spice. So if you are looking for smut, I suggest you read something else. Because no smut was found in this book.
Personally, I would have loved more details in the spicy scenes, but like I said, it was clean and cleverly written without making someone uncomfortable in reading something that sounds too graphic or vulgar.
Do You Love Or Hate It?
I’m going to say I neither love or hate this book. I’ll just admit that it isn’t for me. It was a little too slow for my taste. And to be fair, I was kinda blindsided. I read the first book in the New York Billionaires series by Olivia Hayle and that book, “Think Outside The Boss” took me on the ride of my life.
It wasn’t a slow burn romance like this one. It had a good pace, great character development which involved the side characters as well. And the spice scenes was smutty enough for me. It was well balanced and a great storyline.
But in this book, I feel that the side characters had some development, but most of the book’s dialogue was mainly about the two main character’s Anthony and Summer.
Too much that I have to admit of being bored. It wasn’t the page turner I was hoping it would be like the first book was.
Who Should Read It?
If you are looking for a great slow burn romance story with good, clean spice or hardly any spice at all, that bases around the two main characters, this book is for you.
You may like books that are not smutty, because that’s not your vibe, and that’s perfectly fine. My sister is like this. She loves a good Hallmark movie, and this book reminds me of those movies.
This book also contains a back story that could be a little bit of a tear jerker. One of the main character’s is dealing with a diagnosis that will change their lives forever soon, and they are struggling hard to accept and adjust.
But love conquers all because it is needed in this book.
