Chosen By A Vampire is a good book for those looking for an urban dark paranormal romance love story with spicy scenes. But honestly, this book was all over the place, initially.
By the middle of the book, I was becoming a bit bored of the almost predictable plot, until I got to the ending and BAM! That was a twist I was not expecting. And it made the book as a whole a good experience.

What I Loved About It
I loved how passionately determined Dare was to get Tempo to remember who she was. His will to not give up was a hopeless romantic’s turn on because he fought with all of his patience, energy, and might for his woman.
He had no eyes for anyone else and that’s loyalty for sure! I loved that even though Tempo was hesitant and skeptical about Dare, she could feel how passionate Dare was about her.
She could feel the love that oozed from him, and that was what kept her attached and attracted to him.
What I Didn’t Like
I didn’t like the mix of dark paranormal and Christianity. Now, before you bite my head off, (get it, because it’s a vampire trope?) I’m not coming at this with a judgement point of view.
I know that we are dealing with vampires and the good Lord, but for some reason, it just didn’t sit well in my spirit. Now I understand the origin of how vampires are fallen angels who fell from Heaven.
However, for some reason, I didn’t see the need to mix God’s word, coming from monsters (supernatural beings). But I like how even though Dare is a vampire, he is willing to do good like saving the innocent from bad guys.
I think he feels remorseful for disobeying God in the past, and maybe His Word is what gets him through the darkness.
The Sex Scenes Will Leave You Hot
My, my, my! One thing’s for sure is that the spicy scenes were off the charts. It was very vulgar, graphic, and explicit. There are plenty of waterworks, bondage, aggressiveness, and supernatural passion.
And in my opinion, everyone in the school is highly inappropriate, in the worst way. Between cussing in front of the kids, and the adult teachers talking to each other and about one another is a trip.
If The Book Get’s Boring, Hold On, It Gets Really Good At The End
Although the plot was a tad bit predictable to me, I fell a bit bored with it by 50% of the book. I was almost ready to DNF (did not finish) this book, however, I am so glad I kept reading.
The plot thickens like gravy towards the end of the book, with unexpected twists and turns. All of the information you read throughout the book will make perfect sense at the end, making you go, “Ohhhhhhh!!!!!!”
By the end of the book, I had raised my rating from 3/5 to 4/5 stars because I appreciated how Wynta crafted the plot.
Who Is This Book Recommended To?
