Khan’s Choice is a fantastic urban fiction, fantasy book that perfectly mixes paranormal and street life together.
Never have I ever thought of a book that was centered around drugs and vampires, but Tacarra girl, you made that happen and it was a great joy reading your book.
“Yeah, you read that right. A drug dealing vampire. Shit wild, right?” – Khan
This book had me laughing out loud so much, that my family asked me if was I okay multiple times. “Are you laughing at TV or the book?” my husband asked while we mindlessly did our own thing in the living room.
But sir, excise me while I LOL literally at the characters in Khan’s Choice.
Although it was a short read, it gave me everything I was looking for and what I wasn’t looking for as far as character traits, scenery, and plot.
So I’ll categorize this book as a novella because it didn’t go into full detail on some things, though, it was a great read.

First Impressions Of This Book
If you read the post where I talked about the first chapter of this book, you will know exactly what my first impressions were. The chemistry between Khan and Choice is undeniable.
They met in Choice’s shop and Khan was glued to her energy ever since. When he left her presence, he just had to get to know her ASAP.
A Fast Pace Page Turner
Being that it is a short read, this book is very fast-paced. While I won’t give you any spoilers, just know that the love story moves pretty fast, compared to longer novels. But honestly, I didn’t complain at all.
It was a page-turner for sure. I never got bored with this book because the plot was just so juicy.
The thing I loved about Khan’s character is how passionate he was about Choice. Tacarra did a great job not making him possessive to the point where it came off corny.
However, as you read, you will notice how fast the two move like you meet one day, and then BOOM, you’re living with the guy the next. So yeah, it gives off that kind of vibe. But it’s all in good timing.
What I Loved About Khan
Khan is a hood gangsta who does not play about his woman Choice and will kill anyone who tries to step in between them. Once he revealed his true feelings to Choice, she was all in. And once she was all in, there was no turning back, and Khan meant that.
“I think I just found my wife. I never believed people when they said that it was love at first sight. That
theory proved otherwise once I laid my eyes on Choice.” – Khan
Once you accept the vamp life, that’s it. You back out, you die! Before they got in too deep, he gave her a warning that this vamp life ain’t all about games. But the way he explained it to her had me loving Khan’s street persona.
“Choice, baby girl. I’m telling you now. If you give yourself to me, you’re just for me and me only. I’m not
one to go against the Universe and I already told you that you were for me. If I even get a faint smell of
another nigga on you…he’s dead and possibly you too. I’m going to also need to feed from you baby and I
got a healthy appetite. You think you’re ready to handle that?” – Khan
That alone had Choice ready to give up the draws for him and I think that was the moment she was all in. But let me tell you this right now, everything isn’t all sweet afterwards. Because when you have a good thing, something is lurking around the corner to try to mess it up.
To what extent will Khan go to protect this love? Go read it to find out.
What I Loved About Choice
Choice is all about her money. As an Entrepreneur, she takes pride in the business she built from the ground up. So, regardless of what’s going on, she needs her money STAT!
“I require a twenty-dollar deposit for all my services, though. People like to play around with my time and
my time was my money.” – Choice
She also loves her family to death. When it comes to her sister, mom, and her nephew, Choice will go to war about them, and so will they about her. I love the relationship she has with her sister, Chance.
When she shares her experience with Khan to her sister, their dialogue is soooo funny. They are two sisters who have no filter towards each other, and I love it.
“Well, damn. This is some straight Vampire Diaries shit, but I love it. I’m so excited for you, bitch.” – Chance
But as the story goes on, she will find out some deep secrets about her family that will shock her.
The Spice Level Is Off The Charts
The amount of heat that came off the pages of the smut scenes was blazing hot. Because it wasn’t just regular intimacy they shared, it was something out of this world.
The way they were together sexually isn’t something like the scene where Bella and Edward were in the Twilight series. It was something almost better in my opinion.
Now Tacarra created a new point of view and rules to the vamps in this story, so don’t read this book with your own expectations on how you think it should go. And if you do that, you will really enjoy the amount of spice in those scenes.
Who Should Read Khan’s Choice?
I recommend this book to anyone who loves urban fiction, urban fantasy books who wants a good vampire-themed story. This one involves drug activities, sucking blood, killing, family nurturing, and one heck of a love story.
“As long as I had breath in my body and even after, Choice would never have anything to worry about.” – Khan
Khan’s Choice is the perfect short read for any commutes, chilling on a Saturday or Sunday reading day, and everything else in between.
